English Book Report 英文閱讀報告

Everyone has to hand in an English book report on or before February 14, 2011.


You can add 10 points to your RED Record Card.


Your book report may be chosen to join the Book Report Competition.



(A) Instructions:

1) Write at least 200 words for your book report.


2) Type your book report and send it to the following emails: 
3eyck2@gmail.com      or         nychan@yck2.edu.hk


3) If you find any difficulties to type your book report, please write neatly on a piece of YCK2 lined paper.


4) If you change your mind and want to use another book for your book report, please send an email to us during Lunar New Year Holidays.


5) If you have any questions on writing the book report, you can send an email to us and we will get back to you ASAP.


(B) Follow the steps below:


1) Choose a book to write about. You could write about a book in any genre 題材or category: adventure, mystery, fantasy, biography, fiction or nonfiction.

2) Take notes about the book while you are reading.

3) Write an introductory paragraph. 開首一段 , 要寫上書名和作者和故事種類

•  Be sure to include the title and author of the book and let the reader know what type of story it is: funny, exciting, scary or sad.

• You may want to start with a question to get your reader interested. 
  

4) Write a paragraph summarizing the plot. 

• Be sure to give the names of the main characters and tell a little about them.

5) Write a paragraph about the characters in the storybook.

• Who is the character you like most? Who is the loveliest? Who is the poorest? 
• You could explain the problem they face in the book and what they are doing to overcome it. 

6) Write a paragraph that gives the reader your opinion of the book. Here you might want to write about your favorite part or what you learned.


7) Write a conclusion that lets the reader know the reasons why you recommend this book. 

8) Once you have finished your paper, be sure to review your writing.
